I got married in a Chinese restaurant, with not a lot of people paying attention, although there were a number of people gathered downstairs; probably this has something to do with my Sims 2 wedding where the groom didn’t bother to show up until afterwards, and they got married under the arch with nobody paying attention. Afterwards, in my white dress, I sat in the passenger seat of a car, looking out the window and thinking about how Dad and my grandparents hadn’t come to the wedding.

Also, I ran into a guy who seemed totally thrilled to see me. “Hi!” he crowed. “Um, hi,” I said, looking suspicious and tentatively putting out my hand, trying to show him that I had no idea who he was. “It’s so great to see you!” he cried and shook my hand and pulled me into a hug. All I could think was that maybe he was this kid named Jadd who was in my first-grade class. “I haven’t been up to much but everything’s just been leading up to this moment when I get to see you again! Remember that time in 7th grade when…” Later, I managed to get my mom alone in the bathroom and hiss, “I have no idea who that guy is.” It turned out he wasn’t anybody I should have particularly remembered–some friend of the family or something.
