My mom’s high school friends thought I was older than my mom.

I woke up late this morning (set the wrong alarm and woke up at 8:25. Normally I leave the house at 8:20-8:30 to get to work around 9, but today I had to take the guinea pigs to the vet to get fixed before going to work!) and while I remembered things quite vividly when I woke up, I didn’t have time to write them down before they faded.
Yao Ming was in my dream.
I was reading the food forum (amazingly boring dream!) and two people, Lisa and Larry, sharing one handle (they were brother and sister and they were the kids of another FooFo regular) posted. One of the postings was about sage.

I was on some kind of journey with Paolo (the Italian study abroad supervisor) and a bunch of other people. I recall trains and traveling and sacrifices.

I was going to fly to Indonesia with Molly and our high school class. We were in the airport and Molly and I decided to turn back to get something–notebooks? But coming back to the airport, I realized that I had forgotten my ID and passport (probably because in real life, I forgot my ID when I went to go sell clothing at Crossroads.) There was a sort of ghost story behind this involving a malevolent child spirit. Cut to a cold, gray, New England woodsy sort of setting. I was in a marshy area with a track around it and I had to run a race against a grown man who was on the side of the malevolent spirit. We were running a race, and though at first I flagged, I got my second wind and overtook him. Then, however, I got to a section of the track that was submerged in water and as I splashed in, the dropoff was suddenly as deep as my chest or neck. He forged ahead and passed me. I remember looking out the attic window of the rickety old house at the lake outside and seeing the girl-spirit hovering about 30 feet above the water in a long dress. Eventually, I think there was some kind of a reconciliation and she was a little happier.
Walking up a street in the Mission, I tried to sell clothes to an old hippie man living in a commune with Molly and I.
There was a party with Satellite people and I was surprised to see Ken there as well.
